It is located in the Creuse which forms part of the Limousin together with Corrèze and Haute Vienne. St Priest-la-Feuille is South of La Souterraine, 55 kms North of Limoges and 35 kms West of Guéret.
 
Its area covers 2,744 hectares, mostly devoted to agriculture. Two thirds of the surface are meadows where cattle graze all the year round. Breeding one cow per hectare guarantees the good quality of the beef.
 
The altitude varies from 332m in Châtelus, near the river Gartempe (in the South-West) to 457 m in Mazeirat (in the North-East).

• From PARIS or the South-West, via the A20 motorway,
  take the direction of GUERET on the road RN 145, then exit LA SOUTERRAINE - FURSAC
• From PARIS or the South-East, via the A71 motorway,
  exit Montluçon, to GUERET then exit LA SOUTERRAINE - FURSAC
  
• From the Atlantic, via road RN 145,
  in the direction of POITIERS, GUERET, LA SOUTERRAINE then exit LA SOUTERRAINE - FURSAC
• From the East, via the roads N 941 and N 141,
  to CLERMONT-FERRAND, AUBUSSON, GUERET, LA SOUTERRAINE then exit LA SOUTERRAINE - FURSAC

• LA SOUTERRAINE is on the PARIS to TOULOUSE railway line
• GUERET is on the BORDEAUX to LYONS railway line. You can get from GUERET to LA SOUTERRAINE by bus
